Beauty rituals are a safe haven. Women flock to the salon for a break from the busy, chaos of their lives. Stylists provide an escape, a peace for their clients. It is this interpersonal aspect of our business that makes our services so essential to the mental wellbeing of our clients. During the weeks of lockdown, addressing a global pandemic, supporting families, or facing isolation, we are all craving a return to the rituals and practices of our daily lives. Most of our clients’ transition into lifelong friends. Spending hours in our chairs sharing, bonding, laughing, crying – our business is more than hair – our business is people.

Crystal created X-tend Bar to make her life as a stylist easier. When the lockdown started, Crystal struggled as many have at home with her kids between homeschooling and meals and the monotony of lockdown.
The beauty industry rendered not essential sent droves of stylists home, salons closed. The future seemed uncertain. Crystal realized that this tool of convenience could serve stylists more now as our world is re-opening, as salons are having to survive at partial occupancy.
